business failures and insolvency.

He also is co- editor of the Collection of Laws of the

Uwe Kärgel has often published in the Journal of the
Berlin Bar Association
On several occations he has given presentations
concerning German legal issues at international bar
meetings, such as UIA ( Philadelphia, San Francisco (
ABA ) Helsinki and Cyprus.
Uwe Kärgel founded the International Lawyers
Conference of the Incoming EU- States which meets on an
annual basis in 2001 in Berlin
Uwe Kärgel serves as a honorary Examiner in the State
Examinations for Lawyers and Judges in Berlin .
He holds various positions in supervisory boards

sized German Law Firm which forms a multidisciplinary partnership of lawyers,
tax consultants and notary in cooperation with a CPA Company.
