Rose joined Chambers after completing her pupillage in October 2017. During her pupillage, Rose was exposed to all of Chambers’ principal areas of practice, including insolvency and restructuring (both domestic and cross-border), banking and finance, insurance, company, general commercial and offshore work, gaining extensive experience in both drafting and advisory work. Notable cases she assisted on as a pupil include the various Waterfall applications both in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, as well as the ongoing Robert Tchenguiz & Ors v Grant Thornton UK LLP & Ors on which she has recently been instructed to assist.

Prior to joining, Rose gained valuable experience working in the General Counsels’ Office at American Express and at Hausfeld law firm, as well as through offering pro bono assistance at Woolwich County Court to tenants during possession hearings with Greenwich Housing Rights.

Rose graduated from King’s College London with a first class honours degree in History before obtaining a Master of Studies in Medieval History from Oxford University.

  • Fijitsu Services v Changtel- drafted Particulars of Claim for a s.127 IA validation of payments order (assisting Charlotte Cooke)
  • Ocean Rig- scheme of arrangement involving an international offshore drilling company (assisting Daniel Bayfield QC and Adam Al-Attar)
  • Drafted advice on the valuation of various indemnity claims and their ranking in pari passu distribution (assisting Adam Al-Attar)
  • Drafted advice on the possible defence to a winding-up petition brought on the just and equitable ground (assisting Richard Fisher)

  • Credit Suisse v Titan & Ors – Court of Appeal hearing concerning the rights of Class X Noteholders (assisting Stephen Robins)
  • Canary Wharf Finance v Deutsche Trustee Company- drafted advice on the construction and interpretation of various clauses within a securitisation structure (assisting Georgina Peters)
  • Saipem v UBAE- drafted advice on the merits of UBAE’s defence to a claim for non-payment of performance bonds (assisting Georgina Peters)
  • Fairhold Securitisation- drafted advice on the construction of the security documents and the merits of pursuing a Part 8 claim (assisting Georgina Peters)

  • Drafted advice on unlawful means conspiracy and fraudulent trading claim

International and Offshore

  • Pickle v Plant- assisted with preparations for a BVI Court of Appeal hearing (assisting William Willson)
  • Drafted skeleton argument for hearing in the Cayman Islands on the ability of directors to appoint Provisional Liquidators under Cayman law
  • Research on the enforcement and effectiveness of a bankruptcy order and a s.336 IA order for disclosure of documents on an entity based in Gibraltar (assisting Gabriel Moss QC)


  • Elite – conducted various research tasks on the regulatory interventions by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (assisting Glen Davis QC and William Willson)
