A business and financial law practice concerned in both domestic and international disputes with particular specialisations in corporate insolvency law and reconstructions, in takeover litigation and professional negligence cases. His practice also includes a substantial amount of advisory work in relation to banking, securities, debt discounting and factoring, chattel leasing (especially Aircraft leasing), debt issues, securitisations (including in 1998 the Aurora securitisation) and general corporate law.

Reconstructions in which he was involved include the successful reconstruction of the Heron group of companies with simultaneous schemes of arrangement in England, the Netherlands and the Netherland Antilles, the proposed Ionica scheme and the Barings settlement and, more recently, Guandong Enterprises in Hong Kong and other Far Eastern and Russian reconstructions. For 12 years he was instructed in the litigation arising out of the receivership of the Gomba companies
